H.E.L.P. in Haïti

Franzie JEAN-LOUIS, president of (H.E.L.P.) and of Haitian decent, is highly concerned about the present state of Haiti and the extreme difficulties that Haitians are dealing with right now. Her family, acquaintances, and contacts on the island, will allow us to work on specific missions to aid the earthquake survivors. As of July 2010, she will be leaving for Haiti and volunteering at the orphange, « Fondation des Enfants d’Haïti ». She will also volunteer at other humanitarian organizations that have set up camps for the survivors.
The long term goals of Haiti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) are the following:

Promote Haitian-owned agricultural ventures
It is essential that Haitians quickly rebuild their own economy. Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) desperately wants to help Haiti become autonomous and prosperous. Although the Haitian soil is fertile, it is often misused or exploited by international firms for exportation. Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) wants to work along side the Haitian people as they cultivate and reap the benefits of the harvests for themselves.

Establish Cultural and Academic Exchanges
Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) intends to create a network to facilitate cultural and academic exchanges between France and Haiti, offering Haitian students the opportunity to study in France. Upon returning to Haiti, these students will have the knowledge base to enrich Haiti by creating jobs and internationally acclaimed cultural activities originating from Haiti.

Support the economic development of an autonomous country.
Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) hopes to form partnerships between French and Haitian industries. This will not only allow French companies to invest in Haiti’s future but will permit Haitians to learn from the French in order to improve their market activity with other countries.

(H.E.L.P.) in action

This organization, based in Toulouse, France, is dedicated to supporting Haiti in its efforts to become an autonomous and prosperous country.

The main focus of Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) is to enable travel to Haiti for humanitarian work by raising funds to provide air fare, room and board to our volunteers.

Franzie JEAN-LOUIS, the president Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) who is of Haitian decent, will be the first member to leave this summer to work at the “Fondation des Enfants d’Haiti,” the orphanage where she has been sponsoring a child, Pierre César.

Le Fondation Pour les Enfants d'Haiti (FEH) is a Christian organization committed to providing physical, emotional and spiritual care to needy children in Haiti.
FEH is motivated by the conviction that all children deserve to live in a secure and loving environment, receive a standard of care that promotes physical and emotional well being, and receive an education that will prepare them for a productive future.
FEH was established in 1981 when Gladys Thomas assumed management of a small orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti
One of the strengths of FEH is that it was founded by, and is operated by, Haitians who understand and respect the Haitian people and their culture, and are committed to the long term welfare of the country.
FEH is an independent organization, governed by a Haitian board of directors. It has no political or corporate affiliations. The work is supported by a diverse group of concerned individuals in Canada, the United States and Haiti. (information taken from http://www.cfchcanada.ca/)

Haïti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.)

The creation of (H.E.L.P.) was inspired by a South American tale about a hummingbird that tries to put out a blazing forest fire by filling his tiny beak with water and dousing a burning tree. He was working diligently when another forest animal snickered,

“Hummingbird, what are you doing? You’re nuts. You can’t possibly put out that fire.” To which the hummingbird answered, “I may be crazy but I’m doing my share. I’m doing my share to stop the fire.”

It is with that same spirit of commitment, determination, and dedication that Haiti Evolution Libération Prospérité (H.E.L.P.) has been founded and intends to function throughout Haiti’s reconstruction and evolution process. We’ve decided to raise awareness in hopes that everyone will do their share as well.

« I’m doing my share …»
